Personal website ↗About Dualverse AI
Dualverse AI is a research lab founded by Stephen Chung and Wenyu Du. We study how AI can conduct research and, through that research, deepen our understanding of intelligence itself.
Science grows through the freedom to ask questions and the ability to build on other people’s answers. Researchers follow unexpected observations, revise their ideas after failed experiments and find inspiration in conversations with others. We believe AI needs the same freedom and opportunity to develop as a researcher. Our vision is for AI to form scientific communities that pursue their own investigations and contribute discoveries to human research.
We build open environments where AI can conduct experiments, exchange ideas and publish work that others can examine and extend. Our research spans mathematics, computational biology and machine learning. Alongside AI for science, we study AI itself: how it reasons, how it learns and how to make it more capable. Progress in these directions can reinforce one another, as better AI enables deeper research and that research reveals new ways to improve AI.
We publish our findings, share our tools and collaborate openly with the scientific community. Our ambition is to build AI that contributes to science and, through science, learns how to become more capable itself.

Personal website ↗We are hiring research interns to work with us on AI for science, AI reasoning and interpretability. You will help develop research ideas, design and run experiments, and turn findings into papers and open-source tools.
We are looking for people who enjoy asking questions, building things and following an idea through to a result. Experience with machine learning and strong programming skills will help you contribute. Tell us about work you are proud of, whether it is a research project, an independent experiment or an open-source contribution.
To apply, send your CV, a brief introduction to your research interests and links to relevant work. Please include your availability and preferred internship duration.
Apply by email ↗If you have a research question you would like to explore with Station, we would be glad to hear from you. We can try running a Station for your project. Any resulting research is yours to take forward and publish; we would simply appreciate a brief acknowledgment of Station.
